Ali Tate is a body positive plus sized model on a mission. With both beauty and brains, she has cultivated her own unique voice. Along with advocating for environmental and animal rights, Ali is a leader in the health and wellness movement not just in the modeling industry. She has a podcast called “The Love You Give” and hosts women’s circles in New York City. While not always loving what she saw in the mirror growing up, modeling gave her a new confidence and perspective on the importance of physical appearance. She uses her platform to help women overcome trauma and love the skin they’re in, as well as encouraging others to protect the earth.
The Northern California native kicked off her modeling career after entering a curvy modeling competition while studying abroad in London. Placing in the top three and securing a contract, she was inspired to pursue a career. Before modeling, soccer was the main focus. Playing professionally, Ali was encouraged to eat a diet full of animal protein and products. After her father was diagnosed with cancer and diabetes, she was in search of finding a lifestyle more nutritious and healthful for not only her body but also her spirit. While leaving behind soccer, Ali accredits its influence for the woman she has become both professionally and personally.
Since becoming a model she has created her own plus size clothing line with Reformation, which impressively sold out. Ali has worked for prestigious clients including Mango, Ralph Lauren, Vanity Fair, Target, Lucky Brand, Marina Rinaldi, T, J Crew, Madewell, Express, Nordstrom and many more.
